Eeeek so excited to be 13 almost 14 weeks! This week has probably been the best week of pregnancy yet! I have not been sick this week (4 hours to go so I hope this holds true!). I have still be nauseous but I can take that. I am still exhausted this week, but that may have something to do with the fact that next week is final exams for me so I have been studying a ton and finishing projects. We have also been telling some more friends/family this week. I love getting to call my grandparents and hearing them so excited for us. This will be the first grandchild for both our parents and the first great-grandchild for all my grandparents so there is a lot of excitement all around. I called my aunts and uncles this week as well. One of my aunts and her husband had very similar results from the NT scan with their youngest about 7 years ago. She was so helpful in reminding me that first and foremost it doesn't matter what the results are! We are having a baby in October/November and that alone is a miracle and blessing from God! She is also a social worker in the schools and works with a lot of children with Downs and their families. She has wonderful advice and experience in general. I love her to death, we have always been close so I was very excited to call her this week. We told our pastor on Friday, he married us and I have known him for over 10 years and he is good friends with my parents. He is so excited for us which was awesome. We told one friend at church today and he of course was thrilled and would not let me do anything with the youth today haha it was sweet.
We will continue to tell friends during the upcoming week or two. DP refuses to put anything on Facebook which I can understand. Part of me really wants to because let's face it I have had to see everyone else's announcements and such for how many years! They can see our exciting news! Maybe once we know boy/girl we will do something.
We have received the results back from the first trimester screening blood work yet. I emailed Friday, because she had said it would be a week, and her response was it would take 10-12 days. Nothing we can do about that so might as well be patient (easier said than done right!). I really just want the results to know boy or girl! I had been saying girl for the first several weeks and now I am really leaning boy! Ahh I just don't know but I can't wait to find out. Last night I could not sleep because for some reason all I could think about were names for our little one! Regardless the results our little one is going to need an amazing name so I figure I will focus on that!
Hope everyone has a good week! I am going to try and finish off my last week ever of final exams!!!!!!
