CP- I was born in Florida and for the most part have lived here. I am finishing my PhD at the University of Florida in Health Education and Behavior. I love what I do at school/work, but I dream of becoming a mother.
DP- My wonderful husband is from central Florida and has lived here his whole life. He is a physical therapist and loves what he does.
We met at the University of Florida in 2004 when I was a freshman and he was a junior. We began dating that December and as cliche as it is to say, it is all history from there. I knew without a doubt he was the man for me not long after we were dating. He proposed in June 2008 at the same location as our first date, and it was perfect. We got married in August 2009. The week after he finished his DPT I started my PhD and our lives have been busy and wonderful since.
We have always wanted to have children and have known since May 2005 that it more than likely difficult to conceive after I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Endometriosis has cost me a lot already in my life and caused me a great deal of pain, physical and emotional. We finally decided, nervously, to start trying to have a baby in October 2011. Knowing it could be difficult we entered skeptically. 11 months later we discover that not only is endometriosis an issue, but DP's semen analysis results are very low.
Currently we are entering the IVF process and are trusting that God has a plan for us. We are not sure what His plan is but we trust that he has one.
Just to clarify blog title: Albert and Alberta are the mascots for the Gators!
I just read all about your story and about baby Jax. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
